Keep your tree looking fresh past Christmas!
- If the tree was cut more than 6 hours before you can place it in the stand, cut a half-inch off the trunk when you get home. (After 6 hours, the trunk will have too much resin on the cut to absorb water).
- Water, water, water! Don't let your Christmas tree get dry - it won't be able to absorb water once it does. As a general rule of thumb, trees need one quart of water per inch of trunk diameter.
- If possible, place the tree away from heat sources.
- Always turn the lights off when you leave the house or go to bed!
